CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Certificate II in Security Operations is your first step into the security industry.
This qualification is listed as a prerequisite for obtaining a Security licence by the Licensing and Regulation Division (LRD) of Victoria Police, who are the regulators of security licences in Victoria. Lite Security fully meets the LRD training requirements to deliver the course for sub-activities of both unarmed guard and crowd controller. We ensure the quality of our training and assessment in compliance with the standards set by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
The content of the course includes legislation relevant to the industry, communication skills, customer service, teamwork, basic first aid, managing intoxicated persons, reporting security incidents, occupational health and safety, basic self-defence and emergency procedures.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal entry requirements for persons seeking to enrol into this qualification. However, it is expected that students will have sound literacy and numeracy skills.

HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).
This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal entry requirements for this program. However, it is expected that students have sound literacy and numeracy skills.
ASSESSMENTS
Assessment methods include written assignments, case studies, role plays and practical demonstrations.

HLTAID002 – Provide basic emergency life support
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life threatening emergencies in line with the guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).
This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide an emergency response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal entry requirements for this program. However, it is expected that students have sound literacy and numeracy skills.

This is a stand-alone unit that develops the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit is appropriate for persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
